The govt needs a healthy construction industry to boost property

A healthier construction industry would give a significant boost to
the property sector in the UK, according to one expert on the
housing market.
Steve Turner, head of communications at the Home Builders
Federation (HBF), said that the government needs to be offering
more incentives to the building sector in order to assist with the
housing market.
"House building and construction as a whole is one of our most
significant employers so if we can find a way to build the number
of homes that we need, then the knock-on from that is that the
economy will get a significant boost," he said.
Earlier this year, in the annual Budget, chancellor George Osborne
said that the building sector would be boosted by a £150
million grant which will offer incentives to help restart projects
which have had to be stopped due to a lack of funding at some point
in the past.
